Working together
A new landmark in Antakalnis, one of the most prestigious residential areas in Vilnius, is the product of a successful cooperation between the Lithuanian-American joint venture Alproka and Constructus.

In the summer of 2002 a modern, 8,000 sq.m., thirteen-story residential building with commercial space on the first two floors was erected at the intersection of Antakalnio and Šilo streets, replacing the neglected Neris movie theater that had been out of business for years. The residential building, called "Neris home", contains 40 apartments, each between 70 and 110 sq.m., in addition to a two-level underground garage for 73 cars. Residents of the fifth floor and above can admire a panoramic view of Vilnius.

The first floor of the building provides space for Active Gym, available to residents as well as outside members. Also nearby are schools, shops and public transit.

In preparing the project, Constructus offered its client not only construction but also numerous other services, working out a business plan and helping to find the most favorable financing. It also assisted the client in negotiating with banks and consulted on issues related to project development and implementation.

Strict quality control and innovative construction solutions
This residential building was constructed using solutions still rarely applied in the residential construction projects in Lithuania, such as sound-insulating Rehau sewer pipes. These pipes were used for the water supply and heating systems as well. While they cost more, the aim was to ensure high quality.

For the first time in Lithuania, Orthgipse gypsum tiles, distinguished for their exceptional sound insulation and moisture and fire resistance, were used for the inner partitions. All the apartments are also designed with wood windows with excellent sound and thermal insulation as well as doors made of natural wood.

The construction process was managed by six engineers, project managers and quality and environmental supervisors from Constructus. This ensured that the new building meets strict and exacting quality standards.
